Homecoming and the Frequency of Heaven

It’s homecoming season. But for us, homecoming didn’t involve returning to a high school or college for a football game.

We went back to Puerto Rico.

After living there for nearly a decade, my husband, son and I returned for the first time in five years. Almost immediately, I noticed something about our friends: they looked younger.

Not simply well rested. Younger.

They live with a sense of tranquilo. They laugh, love deeply, welcome people warmly and don’t seem to carry the constant pressure many of us have accepted as normal. Before long, I was sleeping more deeply than I had in months. My body seemed to remember what peace felt like.

That brought me back to our continuing conversation about the frequency of heaven.

Peace has a frequency. So do rest, joy, belonging and abundance. When we spend enough time in fear, urgency and stress, our bodies feel it. My time in Puerto Rico reminded me that our bodies can also respond when we feel safe, loved and at ease.

Then, while sitting on the beach where the seeds for OverFlow retreats and Sisternomics were first planted, I received another word: citizenship.

We are citizens of heaven. Heaven’s frequency is the realm we belong to, and we can practice living from it now.

This unscripted episode is about homecoming, aging well, deep rest and remembering that peace is part of our inheritance. Listen to the episode here and leave your thoughts in the comments.

Are you practicing living on the frequency of heaven?
